This is the second time I've stayed at a RIU property in Punta Cana. The Palace was an upgrade over the Bambu, but not by much, and you can visit both properties with a stay at the Palace. The staff at both locations are fantastic for the most part. They greet you every day by name and they remember your preferences. The rooms are nice for what they are. The 24 hour "Sports Bar" is the place to go if you like to party until the wee hours. The water park was fun and a good way to spend a couple hours for free. Now the negatives: The power seems to go out at least once per stay at random, as well as the hot water. Next, in the common areas there is frequently liquid, food, or garbage on the floor and employees walk past as if they don't see it. The food is average at best, but plentiful. Many of the themed restaurants were closed on particular nights, with the excuse of "Covid."

There was no soap, no shampoo, no Conditioner, no food at all after 10pm. No room service. No activities at night no day time entertainment, no swim up bar. Definitely will not be attending again
They do not provide or have shampoo for sale. The rooms are hot, the AC doesn’t work too well. The food in some restaurants is not the best

Resort was nice the staff at the Momtecristo restaurant was perfect .. they were under staffed at the pool i guess because the pandemic but everyone tried there best so i loved the effort
Hotel is closed, opening date is unknown and they moved all people to a different resort
First-able we didn’t see the hotel we book at all.Only on pictures during our booking. The hotel we booked was closed and we were dropped off in front of a different hotel without having an option.At the front desk we were told that if we don’t like the property we can check out immediately. With two small kids and being in different country we didn’t have a choice. I am very disappointed with your service because no one notified me ahead of time that the hotel was closed. This was my last vacation with Expedia.
Was very ignorant and impolite to my guess had my family to sit outside the gate on the ground after I put them on the visitors list just to come in and pick me up. My key to my door kept malfunctioning. Room service walked in on me. Almost as if the hotel is participating in targeting individuals.
