Meh
There were guys repainting outside when we pulled in, had to squeeze the truck past some scaffolding. It's not the best part of town, there are homeless in the area. We were in room 108. It was clean. There was evidence of less than professional maintenance like the exposed and capped tub plumbing (shower only now) and the not very square 'access ports' cut in the drywall by the TV. Noise from outside and the floor above was enough to be annoying. The bed seemed ok at first but it was firm enough to bother my back after a couple nights. Housecleaning never showed up during our stay although we did once hear them knocking on a door nearby around 6pm. I went with this place because it looked decent online and they allow pets. Everything else in the area was over $500 for two nights by the time you included pet fees and taxes etc. If my family is with me I'll be looking elsewhere next time I'm in the area.

Weekend in Seaside, CA
Our stay at Gateway Lodge was pleasant. Room was clean and spacious. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. There were los of places to eat within walking distance. Hotel Location is great- close to highway 1 and within mins from the beach. We would stay there again
