Beware of resort fees upon arrival
Note there is a mandatory resort fee plus tax paid at checkin that is not disclosed when booking. It's about $22/day. Hotels.com collected this fee already so the front desk is making you pay the tax/fee twice.

Amazing spot in Princeville! We really enjoyed our stay in the 2 Bedroom cottage. Firstly, it was very spacious. Although the property overall is slightly showing it’s age, it’s charm more than made up for it. The best part was the ease of access, very ample parking, and great amenities with activities and reservable items like beach umbrellas, chairs and bicycles. Finally, the staff were top notch and went above and beyond.

Tail of Two Roosters
I had a pretty nice stay at this well appointed 1 bedroom condo with a nice lanai in back. Things were clean and worked. MAIN thing though was my first room, 2nd floor of 800 building was REALLY hard to sleep in with roosters right under the bedroom starting at 3am. BUT, they moved me to third floor of the 900 building which was lovely. There, the bedroom and lanai were 'in the canopy' with far fewer roosters at a greater distance. If you want to play golf, disc golf or just be close to the elevated Princeville area, Makai Condos was great. If you want to be down by the bay or further west, you might look elsewhere. I tried to use the concierge service, but he seemed more into quick booking me into an expensive tour than I like. But ALL the other staff were excellent. Nice place.
