"It was a good 2 days stay in Merida"
We were so happy because our room was overlooking the Santa Lucia zocalo and we can see the shows from our terraza without having to go out as it was too warm. It was awesome! The hotel is very close to everything. The room, bedsheets and towels are fresh and clean. The room was spacious and the bathroom has a very big tub. Overall we were happy of the hotel.

Oasis in Merida city center
Property located in lively city center near best sites, best restaurant per TripAdvisor, tons of other restaurants and bars, and all sorts of shopping. Hotel was well decorated and felt welcoming. The staff was helpful, attentive, and ever so friendly. Included made to order breakfast in adjoining restaurant was a perfect way to start our day. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great shower with rainfall shower head. The grounds had a wonderful swimming pool surrounded by fountains, lovely foliage, and thatched roofed seating and hammock area. Wow - all this in the middle the city.

'A taste of Yucatan hospitality'
We had a great stay in Casa Lucia. The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful, and service oriented. They organized 6:00am taxis for our families to bring us to the airport and gave us 'breakfast to go' without us asking for that. My husband found out at the airport that he had lost he cell phone. After coming home he called the hotel and they checked with the taxi company and let us know they that phone was found and they sent the phone to us. This is great service.

Merida hotel in excellent location
Nice hotel with area to relax by the pool, friendly staff, but the best thing about this hotel is the location and free parking. In about a 5 minute walk you will be in the main plaza, and 10 minutes or so the other way you will be at Paseo Montejo. Breakfast included a glass of juice, one cup of coffee and one item ordered from the menu, which has a good variety. We rated the cleanliness of our room a 3 because during our 5 night stay the floor was never swept or mopped. We would stay there again and just let housekeeping know sooner next time.

Gecko,cockroach,wet room,no screen,heavy blanket
Pros 1. Location is good. Easy to get around, find food and convenience store. 2. Breakfast was good. Good quality and good taste. Cons 1. Wrong room. We booked King, but was given double Queen. Honest mistake - no big deal. But looking back, other problems connect with this, which shows lack of attention to customers. 2. No screens. We were kindly warned that mosquito situation is bad. However, the hotel never bothered to install screens. So we cannot open any window for fresh air. 3. 1 gecko and 2 cockroach. We saw a gecko in the King room. The staff couldn't do anything about it. I understand maybe this is normal for the region, but a 4-star hotel? We ended up returning to the Queen room. How do you think the sleep was, when you kept wondering whether there is something similar? The next day after dinner, we saw 2 cockroaches. Of all hotels/b&b we've stayed, we have never seen this. Serious cleaning is needed. What's worse is that no one from the hotel cared reaching out. 4. Heavy blanket. With air conditioning, heavy blanket makes sense. But what if I just want to set it to a comfortable temperature? There is no lighter blanket. I had to use the heavy blanket and woke up sweating, then switch to sheets only. No other option. Again, 4-star hotel? 5. Humid room. It's pretty humid in the bathroom. We used it in the morning, came back at night, and it was wet. This may explain the insects problem.
