For the room price we were expecting a beautiful historic property with a long history that has been protected. Instead, it felt like a chain hotel with really boring decor. Our room (like half the rooms in one wing) looked over asphalt and cars in a parking lot. The dining room wasn't even Cracker Barrel charming. Just...nothing. We left an adorable cabin for our final night in Blowing Rock for a place twice as much, offering half of what we had. The dining room served good food, staff was great, but facility decor (Timberlake?) wasn't inspiring in any way.

Parking situation not good. Not good signs too let you know how to get in building. Handicap parking beside stairs to check in(4 sections) not mentioning you can go thru back without that to get to same place. Over priced. Use your own TV services are there are none. Make reservations to eat. Not well insulated rooms as can hear thru walls. Beautiful furnishings and yet cheap toilet paper.

Very Outdated!!
Very tired property! Need of a must needed update especially with what they charge. Bed was lumpy and musty. Walls are paper thin can hear everything from beside of you to upstairs. The pictures and descriptions are misleading. Certainly won’t be returning!
