Best hotel ever stayed at!
We visited/ stayed at Tulloch Castle because of our family history with Bain/MacKay Clan but we were completely taken aback by the hospitality and dedication of the stuff. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough even for those without an interest in the Paranormal or Scottish history. We stayed in room 10 and sadly did not encounter any Spirits although my son did take a couple of photographs of floating orbs which we still Marvel at. Room 8 is said to be center of the Paranormal Activity and room 15 recently played host to the future king and queen of Britain William and Kate. The nightly Castle history / ghost tour was fascinating. My son's absolutely loved it and staying here was a highlight of our Scottish Adventure. I do not Heap praise easily, but Tulloch Castle is without a doubt the best hotel I've ever stayed in... and I've stayed in hundreds if not thousands. I would travel to Scotland just to stay in this hotel again.

A wonderful haunted stay!
We had a wonderful 2-night stay at the castle. Ross took us on the ghost tour that was most entertaining. Found out we were just next door to the most haunted room. No bumps during the night but there was a strange green light emanating from the closet which was right next to Room 8. But when I awoke in the morning, the closet door was closed! Oooohhhh! Ahhhhh!

Great castle find
We were really excited to stay in a castle and it didn't dusappoint. We booked the 4 bed poster suites. Fantastic in size and quality fit out. We enjoyed dinner there as well and the food was excellent. Loved doing the tour as well.. Definitely a must stay place.

Never. Again.
We stayed here for the purpose of wanting to stay in a castle and also for the ghost lore. Spend more money and stay elsewhere. My husband and I honestly had a terrible stay here. There are too many things to think of but I’ll note the most important ones. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were less than stellar. Dinner was actually gross and the bartender forgot to bring us our drinks. We had to walk up to the bar and ask him again for them. We stayed in the bar after dinner as the ghost tour was to start at 9:30. There was a family with small children also waiting for the tour. The guide came in around 9:50 apologizing for the delay and that it will start shortly. After 10:15 hit we decided it was not worth waiting around for. This was upsetting as it was one of the main attractions for coming to this hotel. We went back to the room to sleep on the most uncomfortable bed and pillows I have ever experienced. The mattress was completely sunken in and the pillows felt like they had egg crates in them. They were so lumpy. I know this is an old hotel and they try to keep with that aesthetic but your guests can at least be comfortable. The key that they give you for your room is attached to a foot long wooden castle carving. I couldn’t even fit it in my purse, it was so annoying. The hotel is not labeled from the street so we had no idea where to park and where to enter. We figured it out after a couple of wrong turns. I advise people to not stay here. It was terrible.

Great restaurant and beautiful views
Rooms had 2 twins. We had 2 rooms (10 & 11). One had a shower and the other had a walk in shower and tub. Nice spacious room. Clean and quiet. There is no AC so we left window open. The restaurant was good. We had dinner and a breakfast there. Enjoyed the duck for dinner. Not much around the castle to do but the view is beautiful. There are no elevators so be prepared to haul your bags up the stairs. We were on the top floor. There are no washclothes either (seems to be a UK thing).
