Beautiful building inside and out. Perfect location. Fre onsite parking. Very comfortable bed. Fully stocked mini bar at very reasonable prices. First class breakfast with a good variety of choices. Homemade bread, butter and jams. Fantastic stay.

A Gem!
Monkbridge House exceeded our expectations. Everything on offer was perfect. The location is ideal, only about a 10 minute walk into town. The room we had was spacious and immaculate & very tastefully decorated. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, with an excellent choice on the menu. There was also parking, which wasn't needed by us but a real bonus in York. Highy recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!

Brilliant in every way
Good sized, comfy room. Family run hotel where everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and a clever way of ordering your breakfast ahead so you only get exactly what you'd like rather than a set menu. The location was fabtastic too, only a 5min walk right into the heart of York. The thought put into the design of the hotel is second to none. You can tell it was planned out meticulously. If we come back to York this is where we would stay again.

A beautiful property that is just outside the busy area so it's quiet but close in. Excellent facilities and breakfast was amazing. Clean and well-appointed. Hosts Paul and Fiona are wonderful, and have put their heart and soul into MonkBridge House, and it shows. Concerns would be stairs only to access upper floors, which is normal in an older classic property like this, otherwise everything about our stay was excellent!
