Great location away from noise but close to beach
We had an eight night stay at Pakasai Resort in a Chalet Suite. Our initial contact with staff was when they opened are transfer vehicles door and welcomed us to the resort. Another staff member collected our luggage and we were motioned into the reception area where we received a nice cool towel, a drink and a flower garland. We did arrive earlier than the check-in time of 3pm, so we had an hour before we could 'move in'. We were invited to either relax by the pool, enjoy a snack and/or drink in the bar, or have a look around. We chose the latter. Once 3pm rolled around, we were accompanied to our suite. The room was modern with split levels (two steps), a king sized bed with mosquito net, a day-bed, writing desk & chair and a beautiful bathroom with shower and separate bath and huge vanity. There was plenty of hanging and shelf space, a safe, two-umbrellas, a basket with two beach mats, iron & board. We used the pool nearly every day- it was only 1.2m at its deepest but large. It wasn't cold to enter but it was cooling. The pool attendants were eager to serve drinks and snacks from the same menu as the downstairs bar. There was plenty of pool side furniture for lounging and all had sun umbrellas. The Dalah restaurant was used for all meals including the buffet breakfast. A good selection for breakfast. The bar was good with great staff, especially Nana who was delightful and really made our stay special. The resort has some fantastic environmentally-friendly initiatives.

Hidden gem in Ao Nang
We arrived at approx 11am, our room wasn't ready, so we headed to the pool. Pool is lovely however it's all in the sun and quite shallow so it's always warm. We had some lunch by the pool, food prices were reasonable for a hotel, but quite small portions. We tried to check in at 130pm, but still wasn't able to, so we had to wait until 2.05pm to check in, which is a bit frustrating after a long flight. I understand that the check-in isn't officially until 2pm. but most hotels will be able to get you in a little earlier. We arrived in a mini-bus with another person. The staff assumed we were all together despite telling them and upon check out we realised they had stuffed up the bookings and we had be given the other ladie's booking. I think that resulted in an upgrade, as we had room 622 (assume a deluxe chalet room?) which was in the chalets at the top of the resort with a view of the sea. The other room was in the hotel part and close to reception. Room 622 was awesome, view was stunning, large balcony. There was a weird bed base which was awkward getting in and out of, but comfy enough. They are an 'eco' resort, but kept changing towels even though we hung them up. We got two bottles of water daily. Had an issue with the lock which wasn't clearly identified. Breakfast was AMAZING - everything you might want and more. Free bikes, free activities such as yoga, etc, eco walk. Really lovely.

Very Good 8.0
Beautiful hotel in a very green setting!
We stayed in both the adora Chalet and the Adora Suite. Checking in and out was nice fast and easy. The staff is lovely but the English could and should really improve! The breakfast is certainly vast and fresh and very tasty! From simple scrambled eggs over poached eggs, pancakes, curry and fresh fruit: everything is available and beautifully arranged! You will sit right next to the pond and the pond is set among a lush green garden. The complex is really big, way bigger then I expected but due to the layout and the vast, lush garden you will always feel secluded and it kills the sound from the busy promenade! Right outside the complex is a 7/1,1 a massage place, and most importantly a moped rental place. You can rent a moped for 200 Baht which is a good price but barter hard if you want to hire a bike fore longer! The staff is attentive and lovely and do ask for the Mountainbike tour to the NAGA Mountain! Kai took us there and it was so much fun and he clearly had fun too! After the exhausting hike with stunning views you will make your way back to some lovely ladies who grow their own herbs, veg and fruit and you will cook lots of different dishes and will eat them in the garden! the only real downside was, that the free minibar was never topped up! If we drank something then that was it, it just wasn't replaced! When we used cups and glasses, they were not replaced or washed properly. they we're still next to the sink where we left them...

Average place with above average prices
The concept was good, but the resort failed on several levels. 1) Our allocated room was on top of a hill. To get to it (and to most of the rooms in the resort), you have to walk up several steps. This was great in keeping with the eco nature of the resort but really inconvenient to traipse up and down several times a day, especially with tired small children. 2) The front desk staff were very helpful but didnt know much, especially regarding the tours on offer (their own tours advertised on their notice board). 3) The promised beach towels were rarely available after 11, so tough luck if you wanted to head to the beach after that time. 4) Despite leaving our towels hanging on the rack to save daily washing (as requested by the helpful information card in the bathroom), the towels were changed daily. 5) It was a bit of a gamble on how many bottles of water would be left in the room daily. It is supposed to be 1 per occupant, but the cleaning staff didnt seem to know or care. 6) I would love to see drinking water on tap to encourage refilling our own water bottles and reducing the number of plastic bottles purchased and used. 7) The Happy Hour had more exclusions than inclusions! On the whole, it was average. There was nothing terrible about the place. But equally, there was nothing outstanding about it. I doubt I will go back or recommend it to others, mainly based on the inconvenience of accessing the room

Good 6.0
Overall, the resort is not bad. However, the staff communication skill is not very good. When we check in, the staff tried to explain on the discount vouchers for spa and restaurant in english which was a little confusing. When she took us to the room after checked in, she told us to hang the brown bean bag outside the door if we request for housekeeping. I even check with her twice whether she is sure that we have to hang the bean bag (which stated Do Not Disturb) outside the door for housekeeping, she said YES, and we did hang the bean bag outside as what she said, in the end the room was not cleaned. We called for housekeeping and they said we should not hang the bean bag outside... (Confusing) I have read many reviews that the breakfast food is not good, and to be true, yes.. This is our first time going on a vacation and didnt want to have breakfast in the hotel for the remaining days. The fried noodles...friend not taste good at all.... Most of the guests go for bread and pastries.... thats the best choice.. well, i personally love the fresh corns, beans, sunflower seeds, raisins for salad choices. The room (honeymoon suite) is very spacious with an indoor bath tub. Comfortable stay. Check out process is very messy. We waited for quite some time after we surrender the key not knowing whether we can leave, then, 2 of them told us they are checking our rooms see whether we have taken anything from the room...
