Don't allow them to move you to the Kings Arms
We were moved to a lower rated hotel (Kings Arms) which was terrible ( view of the parking lot, 20 minutes away). The bar was not available due to coach parties. What I can say is the lobby, bar area of the Dunollie looked lovely and wish we could have stayed there. Also if you are using a GPS stay on the main road and you will find the hotel. The GPS will take you off the main road into a residential area away from the shoreline.

Would not stay again
I am glad we only stayed in this hotel for 1 night. The room was tiny and had a funky, perhaps moldy smell to it. In general the hotel seemed a bit run down. The room just wasn't comfortable at all and we were glad to leave.

This was a last minute booking via phone app. Ocean View for $95us plus a great buffet during busy season,, great deal. Old building, right on the water, ok staff.

Dingy and no wifi, not recommended.
I would not recommend this hotel. First off, there is no wifi in the rooms. To be fair, I read reviews that complained about this and I knew that you needed to be in the common area, so I was prepared. But the wifi there barely worked. The staff told me that if there's a few people in the room using it, it often doesn't work. I had to work a few hours and would have never picked this hotel had I known that if more than one person was in the room, a website would take 20 minutes to load. Awful. Also, the common area serves as a bar too, so there's always people there in the evening, of course it'll be clogged then if your router sucks! The place is old and dingy and you are paying a cheap price for cheap quality. I was prepared for that as well. However, I couldn't sleep because I was stuck on the first floor and you can hear people walking above you. It sounded like they were stomping around like Herman Munster and about to fall through the ceiling. Awful. I didn't even shower there because the shower looked a little moldy and like a horror movie scene was about to happen. The bathroom fan buzzed so loud, you'd think you were about to be electrocuted. The only surprising thing was that the breakfast was decent. They had a buffet with the typical selection and it was satisfactory. In short, you cheapen out, you get cheap, so beware.

The room good, but the wifi extremely poor. Food OK but the stay would be listed as moderate and wifi is needed then poor!
