To be honest, I don’t know why this is a 4 star hotel. It looks old, dark, updated and dirty. The Gardens are beautiful though, and the service is good. But the rooms are dirty, smelly and dark... I didn’t like it at all... sorry.

I was completely disappointed with this place. People write wonderful reviews and then we arrived and I was confused as to what why! Dont get me wrong the service there was wonderful. The people at the front desk were very kind and so was the bell boy who took our stuff to the room but once we got to the room thats where the problem began. After only a couple of minutes in the room started smelling bad! The place looked completely run down and just dirty! I went to the front desk and requested that they change our room and they did so with no problem (the staff was friendly). Once we arrived to our other room it looked a little nicer but nothing like the pictures presented on their page. It was run down! The mirrors worn, the shower looked like it wasn't cleaned, dirty towels, water spots all over the sink, flies and something I had never seen before, they left used shower gel in the bathroom to use because they recycle them! They tell you not to take it but if you would like to purchase new ones you can. What!?!?! Anyways, it didn't stop there. A couple minutes in the room started to smell again. I asked one of the neighboring couples if their room was smelly and they said yes but had just opened the window and let it breath so we ended up doing the same. Later on in the trip I took the sheet off the bed and look and the bed pad that they had was disgusting! I couldn't believe I had been laying on that! It had blood stains! you get what you pay for but this was too much!!!!!

Clean rooms in quiet hotel with beautiful grounds, plentiful breakfast....near a crowded high-traffic tourist-trap street with vendors at every other business waving their hands at you for a sell. The beach is a 20minute walk on a one way road with no sidewalk-- getting there did not feel like a vacation. I would have payed more to stay on the beach or stayed in a different beach town altogether.

Booked fo 2 and a child but no bed was provided, even though the room states additional beds available they tried to charge me a lot extra per night for my son who is 3. Got them down but should state must pay for extra beds!
