A little LA, a little South of France
So much character, such a good mood place! I'd definitely stay here over a standard chain. LOVE this neighborhood. You feel like you're part of something staying at the Belmont.

Very Unique and Needs To Be Up-Dated
Very funky and basically a crash pad rather than a unique place to stay. It could be the best non-traditional hotel in Dallas if there was a serious investment in the rooms. Right now, it's just old and outdated.

I hate to leave a poor review, but I've tried to address my issues directly with the hotel and have not received a call back and my email to the address noted on the website was bounced back. I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have always been happy with the room and, in particular, the level of service has been exceptional. This stay was dramatically different. When I checked in, it was pouring rain with flash flooding in the area and I had to walk outside a little ways to get to my room. When I asked for an umbrella they looked at me like I was crazy, scrambled around to try to find one, then told me to ask the valet, who also didn't have one. Also, nobody offered to assist me with my bags. In the past there had always been a handwritten note on the bed welcoming me to the hotel - a touch I always enjoyed. There was no such note and instead there was a huge wet spot right inside the door (assumably due to the rain coming in the room). The pillows were very flat and of poor quality and while in the shower, the shower head went out for a second or two anytime anyone in a different room flushed the toilet. All things that had not happened in the past. I left my phone charger there and I've called twice to request that it be sent back to me. Both times they said they'd call me back and I've never received any call. I'm extremely disappointed that the level of service has declined and will probably find a different hotel to stay in next time I'm in Dallas
