Visiting family or just a get away weekend
Good location for eats, groceries, walking and downtown destinations.

The rooms are not what is represented on the website. They are sparsely decorated and old furniture and not very clean. We left without staying.

Ok till spring, better then.
I love this hotel but it is now giving the appearance of needing a sprucing up. The staff is wonderful. I might give it a better review in the spring when everything is in bloom.

Belmont misses the mark...
Was really excited about staying here...the online pictures created an expectation for a classy, trendy, boutique experience with a unique and energetic atmosphere, however, reality was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were still excited...the location and the grounds are nice and the valet staff were super helpful and friendly. Entering the lobby, you become aware that the hotel decor is very minimal, which works in this neighborhood. Leaving the lobby, things go downhill. There is absolutely no character beyond the lobby or in the rooms in the main building. Minimalism is one thing, but I do not think comfort needs to suffer as a result. For the price, the beds, pillows and linens (even the toilet paper) should be MUCH more comfortable. Rooms have only the bare essentials...bath toiletries, a tv the size of a computer monitor, and one bottle of water for two people to share. Honestly, the comfort level was on par with a $70/night roadside budget motor inn rather than a destination hotel for $170/night. The Belmont has so much potential but unfortunately falls short on comfort and atmosphere.
