Either get a room facing the bay, or stay elsewhere. But the view is absolutely worth the remote location. There are two konbinis nearby though: 7-Eleven and Lawson. Hotel breakfast was pretty good as well.
Hotel room was very clean and comfortable. Sea view rooms offer a great view of the Sakurajima Volcanoe. Hotel location is little out from the Kagoshima central shopping area.
Good comfortable stay overall with a great view of the Sakurajima Volcanoe.
2 night stopover in Kagoshima. Hotel well placed to view Sakurajima volcano but about 5-6km out of town. Building ok but a little tired, likewise room and (especially) bathroom. Staff excellent, especially Mr. Shiraishi on the front desk who was very helpful and polite with a travel request.
The staff is helpful but most of them can't understand English. It will be better if free parking is provided.
