Deceptive Practices
Possibly one of the worst stays we have experienced. We had booked a suite with a balcony and had expected a nice stay. Upon arrival to our building a couple was having an argument out front, the woman throwing things out her window to the man standing near the entrance. The entrance itself is littered with waste food on the ground... Not a great start. We got to our room and immediately found the balcony had been closed due to construction. What the heck? The following day we were informed that the water to our building was going to be shut off. We tolerated these things but what pushed us over the edge was being charged twice for "Resort Fees" and secondly someone decided to charge us for a donation that we never approved.

Reservation included early check-in. We arrived about an hour early and was told the room was not ready. We rode around the property until time, but was not contacted and told our room was ready. It took an additional 10-15 minutes of calling/texting to find out our room was ready and our room number so we could get in.

It was very easy to get lost on the property. The directions given in the meeting brochure weren't that helpful. The Bayside at Sandestin is obviously a very old building. The room was ok but the upstairs neighbors very noisy. I liked that there was convenient laundry on site. Needed more restaurants at convenient times nearby. YOU REALLY NEED SAFETY MATS IN THE BATHTUBS AND SAFETY RAILS AROUND THE TUBS! the bed was OK. Need more plates and dishes in the kitchen. The couch was HORRIBLE!

Overall it was nice. I realize that it is offseason. However there was not many people from the resort that were visible for questions and general information. There was no one at the beach to inquire about chairs to sit in for example. It was a relaxing trip nonetheless.
