Family room with twin is basically a double, with a bed squeezed in. sheets had stains on them, very poor standard of hotel.

Tired but comfortable
The greeting was friendly, hotel away from the town and adjacent to the Golf Course. The hotel has a new owner and the Bar in the hotel was closed giving the option of a walk in the rain and wind to the golf course or a limited bar in the restaurant. The hotel is looking tired and in need of a refurbishment, however the staff are friendly. The price reflects the condition fortuantely.

Why no chair?
Overall this is pretty good hotel. Quiet, with only occasional road noise, and good views over the golf course. Breakfast very good, once you've found everything! Helpful staff. One strange point: There was no chair in the room - so I asked for one, to be told they had been taken out of the rooms because there was going to be renovation. Anyway one was brought, but why no comfortable chair in the first place?

Nice reception staff but restaurnat staff are not.
It is in lovely surroundings, but it is a shame that the rooms are not as modern. My room was also quite cold. Food was good in the restaurant, but almost got ripped off by staff giving me a bottle of still water that was obviously water from the tap. The staff in the restaurant were not very friendly either. I had to request a new one which took them 10 mins to get from one of the meeting rooms. The manager knew I had a problem but didn't come over to apologise.
