The sink had a bad smell like sewer smell.

I have been staying there for many years. It is time for a remodel. Carpet in halls coming up, wallpaper peeling up in room. Rooms not as clean as they used to be. Swam in the pool, overall nice except for island in the middle full of garbage, kind of gross. Service at the bars was hit and miss, some of the bartender's were friendly and right on it, others ignored you or took your empties and didnt ask if you wanted another. Jen by sports betting was excellent bartender. Front desk was great. Prime Rib restaurant was excellent, great food and service.

I always experience a great time at South Point. My only complaint was that the ac didn't cool the room, even though it was set to a lower temp

If you don't mind being off the strip, South Point is a good choice. Nice hotel, easy access from I-15, free parking.

Almost there
Late arrival from airport. Check in was smooth and easy. Grateful that the oyster bar was still open so I could grab a later dinner. Casino floor was moderately busy for a Monday night. The room bed was ok, although I think I could have slept on the floor at that point. The room was exceptionally warm and although I got up in the middle of the night to adjust the thermostat, I still awoke feeling hot and dry. Two things that may influence my decision to stay again were; a) the TV didn't work, and b) the in-room coffee was absolutely disgusting. The little creamer packets just turned it into a curdled mess.
