Excellent base for seeing Padua
Spacious rooms, clean, close to the station but quiet, great breakfast, and in a handsome building with easy access to the magnificent Giottos at the Scrovegni Chapel, and a short walk into the center of the old town with its many street restaurants.

Venice alternative
Stayed in Padova instead of Venice because of the reasonable hotel rates. It was very convenient to hop on the train for a day in Venice.

Train-accessible
If you want convenience to the train and buses, this is your hotel. Easy to spot right across from station. There's not much else in terms of quality dining and shops around, however. It's a 20-minute walk to the center and there are trams also. The hotel is old and a little worn in the lobby, but the room was large, clean with good a/c, very nice "colorful" bathroom and good amenities. Wifi seemed a little inconsistent with strength. The included breakfast was nice and extensive. Front desk was helpful even though they couldn't supply a clothes iron. I guess that's not done in Italy?

Nice Surprises
I was pleasantly surprised, the hotel is a sleek modern interior in a 100+ year old building, directly across from the train station. Breakfast was good. The only drawback was a lack of a shower curtain or glass in the bath tub. We had one of the larger rooms with a large bathroom with a tub. Overall the hotel was comfortable, convenient, the breakfast was good, the service was good. The surrounding area is a little rough, but the hotel was very convenient and comfortable.

Perfectly located, and lets Padova be Padova
In town for a short vacation, for renting a car and driving to Verona, Vicenza, and up to some wine tasting north of Padova. The hotel is perfectly located for our needs: next to the train station (one which sports a handy supermarket, in case you're not interested in going-for-broke restaurants), near some car-rental firms, and not far from the Arena Chapel and its Giotto paintings, as well as the University of Padova. In a sense, the hotel is lovely and nice and lets itself fade into the background, as you do your thing in the city. Oh, it had a hearty breakfast, so once you've had a breakfast you might be good until dinner!
