Great Stay in Tokyo… partly because of the Hilton
Will definitely stay here again. Very professional staff, very helpful, very willing to make sure each aspect of our stay was a positive one.

Mediocre, and far from the action
We found the Hilton Tokyo to be thoroughly mediocre. It's a bit far from the action in Shinjoku for tourists (15 minute walk). You can't get early check-in or late check-out if you book through a third-party website, even if you're an H Honers member. The rooms are dated (super old TV with a remote you really have to put some elbow grease into, no outlets near the bed, pleather red chairs, only half a shower door, etc.). Overall, it was all just mediocre. I wouldn't stay here again.

Front desk “manager” needs a better attitude
I booked 4 rooms with breakfast for 4 night stay which there were errors between hotels.com and Hilton, which after 2 international phone calls to Hotel.com spent an hour on the phone, hotel.com will issue refund on the breakfasts which as of today I only received 2 rooms breakfast refund, still waiting refund for another 2 rooms. — For Hilton front desk: The front desk who helped me check in (also claimed himself is the front desk manager) told me all rooms didn’t include breakfast , after heard me talked to hotel.com the first time to confirm and showed him my booking confirmation “ free breakfast included”, instead maybe he can talk to their reservation department or his manager figure things out, his immediate reaction was “ your booking agent lied to you, there’s no breakfast for all your rooms.” 1, I’m disappointed with a 5 star hotel front desk manager’s attitude. I have stayed with many Hilton in the US, all front desk stuffs were always with great attitude and also try their best to help the guests. 2, “ Lie” is a strong accusation, as he can read from my booking information, I booked all rooms via hotels.com which is a worldwide well known booking agency, I really don’t see any reason hotels.com will “lie” to me. 3, as he knew I’m an international traveler, will be really nice if he can communicate with their reservations department immediately to figure out where the errors were, instead watched me spent an hour on the phone.
