Did not realize it’s a boutique hotel
I probably should not have completed survey out of respect for hotel. I booked and stayed at this hotel without realizing/overlooked that it’s a “boutique” hotel. With that being said, this hotel was really nice and I do like the concept but the room was way too small for me and my wife. I would recommend this hotel to others but will warn them of the room size so they know what to expect.

Would stay again
The staff were nice, the rooms were very clean. Our room was pretty small, but we didn’t mind at all. The iPad controls for the room made it feel even more like vacation. It’s such a small thing but I wish the pillows were softer. They were big and really firm which hurt my neck a bit. Probably good to know if you have similar needs. We would stay there again. The location was so close to so much.

Fun hotel
I ejoyed my stay at Citizen M Pioneer Square. The location is ideal as you are close to public transit, tourist attractions, and the waterfront. It’s a walkable area with lots of restaurants and cafes. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The lounge/communal areas are stylish and fun. Usually packed and sometimes a bit lively/rowdy. The rooms are interesting and tech driven. I enjoyed the iPad controlled features (lighting, heat, curtains etc). The bed is large and comfortable and the bedding was cozy. The room is small and the bed is pushed up again the wall/window, so it could be a challenge getting out of bed if it is shared. My biggest complaint is the shower always smelled like urine. There wasn’t a fan switch that I could find but it does seem to have a fan in the toilet area. I only was here for one night, so I didn’t ask for a room change. I came back two days later and my new room still had the same issue. Outside of that, I really enjoyed my stay and like the concept of this hotel.
