    Our family of four really enjoyed our vacation at Barcelo and the resort exceeded my expectations in every way especially the amazing service from the staff at every restaurant buffet reception and even cleaning. Highly recommend, cannot praise enough, great job guys! Food at the restaurants was very good, couldn’t get reservations but was able to do walk in every night at four different places. Amazing beach, great facilities, beautiful property. I’ve stayed at the palace last year and would not pay extra again especially given how wonderful the service was here.

    We stayed for 8 days over Christmas and New Years - here are the pro’s con’s experienced: Pro’s - - Shows every evening we’re probably the best we’ve ever seen in Mexico. We visit 2-3 times per year and have never seen such a great production. - Bartenders are fabulous - drinks are strong. - Plenty of food to choose from all the time - The Beach is absolutely stunning. Great for snorkeling as well. Super clean! - The housekeepers did a fabulous job and our room was deep cleaned daily. - Easy to setup excursions and very reasonably priced! Con’s - not too many, but they did effect our trip negatively. - When we arrived, the line to check in was an almost 2 hour wait. We originally booked for their sister property, but due to COVID were switched - unfortunately to a lesser property with no reimbursement. They told us they were sorry they did not let us know ahead of time. Our room was much less than we expected, that was disappointing. - Although a lot of food choices, due to COVID most restaurants on property are shut down. I did call ahead a few weeks prior to verify and was told everything would be fully open by the time we arrived - it was not. My only issue with this is that people were so close together and crammed into 1 buffet and 1 snack bar. - Hotel serviced booked our taxi back to airport for wrong date and charged us a $50 fee for “no-show” even though they made the error and didn’t tell us until after. They booked for a day earlier.

    Great but noisy at night because of the wed. party

    Very nice place, great pools and nice staff, easy snokling with in front of the hotel. We stayed at the colonial and found the bed not large enough, and also they organize weddings on Fri and Sat night and drunk people from the wedding make a LOT of noise by yelling and talking in front of the hotel room all night that we had to change the room but it was still very noisy.

    Gorgeous location, ok resort

    The beach was the most beautiful white sand. The resort is one of possibly 5 all next to each other under the Barcelo name. This was one of the less fancy. Wasn’t thrilled with the buffet food and hard to get into the specialty restaurants. The room was nice and comfortable.

    Staff was excellent. Temperature checks at all restaurants during COVID. Very clean and nice place. We stayed during a tropical storm and a hurricane in one week. The pace still served food and had the pool and beach cleaned up the next day.
