Very Good8.0
We loved the location of this hotel! It is 1/2 block off the main square and close to everything. The room was quiet and the view from our room 408 was gorgeous. We had 6 windows to look out onto the valleys and town. Air conditioning worked. There were numerous patios and terraces and sitting areas. The breakfast were good and the staff couldn't be more helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

No free parking belonging to the hotel!! Beware!
The room was old and tired. Large room with window high up, very depressing. Also, we booked it for the free parking as we were driving. They send you to a lot that we never found, and it took over a hour and a half to pursue. It is not a free lot, but free to anyone and everyone, plus we never did find it. The next day we met someone at breakfast (which was good), and she said the same thing, that she booked it for the free parking and she never found it, so she put her car in a paid parking lot. She too thought it was misrepresented on the website!

Hotel Fortuna, Perugia
Old-fashioned charm
An old-style European hotel in an ivy-covered stone building dating from the 13th century (the interior has had many updates since then), right in the heart of the medieval city of Perugia. If you're looking for modern luxury, look elsewhere, if you're into old-fashioned charm, this is your place. The staff was uniformly friendly, helpful, and tolerant of my somewhat limited Italian. (NB: I was not dependent on everyone speaking English). My only criticism was that the rooms offered only one type of pillow, which was way too firm for my liking.
