When in Rome...try for a bigger room!
Very welcoming staff, lovely lobby and breakfast room. Perfect location in Rome, walking distance to train station, metro, restaurants, etc.Quirky elevator that only stops between floors (?!) leaving half a flight of stair to be negotiated from every landing. Single room was so small I had to go outside just to change my mind!

Great Hotel for seeing the touristy stuff !
Great desk staff - kudos to Francesco and Francesca :) . The location is great , it's literally a 2 minute walk to Basilica de Santa Maria Maggiore, and a 10-15 minute walk to Piazza Spagna , Colosseum , Termini etc. Fantastic location , cozy hotel . Convenient dining options nearby as well !

Good overall, extremely small shower
Very good location right in the center of Rome. Good staff. Good breakfast. The street noise is there but not extreme. The room however was very small, basically just a bed plus very little space left. Comfortable enough but certainly nothing special. The bed was not super comfortable. But the little closet they call the shower was extremely small. Both my wife and I are quite slender and we barely fit there. I am sure a more normal-sized adult simply wouldn't fit. I wonder if they look at you at the check in before deciding which room to give. That would be so unfair to slender people though.

Nice place
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and a great start to our morning. It is not far from the Colosseum or the Train Station. AC was working.

Good hotel, but be waryl of their recommendations
Daniel was a very helpful concierge. The man at the night desk did not speak English well and seemed less interested in accomodating us. Unfortunately, the restaurant that was recommended to us for lunch, La Mela d'Oro, became a crime scene. We were eating outdoors and our bag of valuables was stolen from under our table. We missed our trip to the Colosseum in order to find a police station and make a report. In addition, the limo that was recommended to take us to the airport dropped us off at the wrong terminal. It took at least a half-hour of our walking and dragging our bags on our own to get to the correct terminal. I don't know if this is a European hotel thing, but when we were in Paris several years ago, the same thing happened. The hotel-recommended limo dropped us way away from the terminal entrance, again leaving us to walk a distance dragging our bags. Those items noted, I would give the Hotel Raffaello another try if i were returning to Rome.
