8/10 Very good

Unfortunately, they were adding new carpet so it was a bit confusing to get in and out of the hotel. Room needed a bit of TLC and some minor repairs, but was generously spacious. Our room was a corner room on the 10th floor so we had a view of all the ongoing construction which is going on everywhere! Noise started promptly at 7 am. Again, anywhere downtown would have been the same. Staff was VERY helpful. We would stay there again.

Nice hotel. Nice staff. Big room. Be aware, however. If you get a exterior facing room the noise is pretty loud on Friday and Saturday nights with cars and music thumping up and down Tryon street. Otherwise the room is quiet, but on Friday and Saturday nights that'll go till 2:00 to 3:00 in the morning. Cars revving there rice burner engines. And thumping cars and clubs outside. I can't speak for joining the week because we are only there on a Friday and a Saturday night. Otherwise, they've just renovated the carpet in the lobby which is really nice and it appears they're working on doing additional renovations. I would stay there again but would request an interior room away from Tryon Street.
