Nice little spot conveniently located
My husband and I were visiting New Orleans for our anniversary and wanted to stay some place near Bourbon street. The hotel is in a great location. There is a market across the street that is a one stop shop if you don't feel like going out and still want something good to eat. They have a great selection of cooked food. The front staff was very nice. We arrived in New Orleans at 6:30 am and check in was at 3. They let us leave our luggage in the lobby while we went and had breakfast and as soon as check out began at 11, they prepared a room for us right away. We did not take advantage of the continental breakfast because the food was kept outside and there were flies and lots of stray cats in the courtyard. The room was okay. The bed was comfortable, there was a microwave, a refrigerator and a freezer which was nice because the ice machine was not working. The overall cleanliness of the room was less than satisfactory. The shower curtain needed to be replaced, the furniture needed dusting and it looked like trash had been swept under the bed. The room itself looked and felt a bit dated which was to be expected, but the room could have definitely used some love. Overall, the stay was good and I would stay here again, I just hope that someone addresses the housekeeping situation.

Re: disappointed
I gave this trip to my husband for his birthday present and I have not have been more disappointed in the accommodations. The first room we stayed in (#room105) was under construction, had a horrific musty smell, the wiring on the tv was not attached properly, the towels did not wrap around our bodies, rust was prominent on the shower rod, and the lamp did not even have a lamp shade. They did manage to relocate us after we complained, but the new accommodations had a filthy air conditioner that did not cool, the water in the shower projected everywhere, the shower rod was again very rusted, the towels did not fit around us, and the fan looked like it was going to fly off the wall when in operation. Suffice to say, we will not be staying here again.

Exceptional 10.0
This is a value priced hotel in a good area of the Marigny convenient to the French Quarter. It is a nicely renovated vintage building. Not perfect, but an excellent value for the price and location.

Cute and clean
We would definitely use it again. Be prepared to walk, but that's good for you... I'm 67, and my 13 y.o.had to keep up with me. :) We did 12 miles one day. Staff was great, room was clean, and fun interaction with other guests.

Exactly what you need, exactly where you want it!
The Olde Town Inn is two blocks off Frenchmen Street, where jazz fans go to find New Orleans' best musicians and night life, since Bourbon Street and the whole French Quarter are now overrun with daiquiri bars and rock and roll clubs. The funky-looking hotel is an amalgam of joined buildings that together make up is a pleasant experience with local flavor. The rooms are comfortable, modern, and completely clean. The staff are very good, very friendly and very helpful. We'll definitely be back.
