The Croke Park Hotel, Dublin

The hotel is in a great location across from Croke Park not far from Heuston Station and it makes a good impression upon check-in. They do offer free WiFi. However, that's where the good ended. All of our requests were ignored - high floor, corner room away from the elevator which was requested because we were arriving late from the airport at Midnight and traveling by train early the next day and we needed to sleep well. We were given a room on the 2nd floor directly across from the elevator that smelled of smoke. At check-in we were told they would order a taxi for Heuston at 8:45am the next day. There were 2 taxis out front at that time. After finding out they weren't ours and waiting until 8:50am, we inquired at the desk and were told a taxi was never ordered which caused us to be later to the station than we wanted. We received an email with apologies, but no credit was offered for this stay or future stays for any of our inconvenience, just to contact the manager for future stays, but we wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone so that is of no help to us.

Convenient and as always a great stay
This hotel is a first class operation. Well located between airport and downtown Dublin. Service is excellent and have a nice atmosphere in bar.

Clean hotel
The hotel was great, though it's next to a stadium and was kind of empty and deserted around the area. About 20 minute walk to the main street. Room was very clean, the staff was very friendly. Overall good experience.

Good for a short stay
Hard to judge. We only had a one-night stay. Location is a little on the rough side, but the restaurant/bar were great.

Great hotel
This hotel was great. The room was really nice and we ate dinner in the bar/lounge area which was both comfortable and delicious. The location is not super convenient to things in Dublin, unless you're going for a game at Croke Park. We were just looking for something relatively convenient to the airport since it was our last night in Ireland.
