a convenient place for "a bed to sleep in"
This hotel feels like an adult version of a hostel. There are card key swipes to get on each floor for added security. The noise wasn't too bad because we were in an inner room with no window to the street. Bare bones style room - it was good for the 1 night we were in Cork. We had the "Just needed a bed" type attitude so we were fine. The bar that is connected to the hotel is GREAT! Massive in size & décor was really fun. I think it turns into a club on certain nights. It was convenient to pop down for a drink or food quickly. We stayed on a Sunday night which didn't realize a lot of things in the neighborhood wouldn't be open! So was bummed we couldn't check out the markets and shops. There is a major strip of shops nearby (reminded me of 5th Avenue in NYC) you can walk through - some were open there. Some local live traditional Irish music can be found in the area which saved the one night we got to spend in Cork!

Overpriced, poor service.
This hotel was extremely overpriced for the amenities provided and inconveniences we experienced. Buses were parked in the hotel's loading and unloading area the whole time we were there. We had to pay to park several blocks from the hotel. Our reservation was mixed up, putting us in the wrong rooms, which we had to remedy. The check-in process took approximately two hours of our one day stay. The staff explained that that can happen when there are multiple couples with same last name. It didn't happen at the other three hotels in which we stayed.
