Great staff!
We spent a nice long weekend in Oakland and found the staff at this hotel to be the most accommodating we've ever encountered. Our room had a bit of a smoke smell so the staff immediately put us in a new room. They also helped us with our TV, hooked us up with some tea, and were just genuinely very friendly.

The pool is a bonus. It was well-kept and warm. The gym had a few machines, but the property is close to Merritt Lake which has a decent walking path. The problem was that that they charge for incidentals? and it's been 3 weeks....they have not reversed it. Got an email from Vladimir Ossipyants, the manager who said, " I will share your message with our leadership team. I understand your frustration about not getting incidentals within a few days. Unfortunately, hotel does not any input to expedite this process. Sometimes banks hold the incidentals longer than they should." Yes - permanently apparently. :(
