Stayed 2 nights. Clean comfortable room. Bed good, A/C good, pool good, beachfront. Location good as plenty of bars restaurants within 15 minute walk. The price was right. Only concern I had was, no guaranteed parking, every spot was filled, so I didn’t leave as I didn’t want to loose my spot. Parking is first come first serve. Therefore, suggest getting there right at check-in time if you’re driving.

We stayed 3 nights at sea shells, then stayed 1 night at hard rock before returning to sea shells to end our trip- boy am I glad we ended it there. It was on such a high note. Clean rooms done with care. I've worked in hotels, so I am PICKY when it comes to my rooms. The room is cooler temperature wise than hard rock, no limit to how cool you want your room (we are from TN, we wanted me be CHILLY upon returning inside from the Florida heat). The employees working on site were so friendly and had that southern hospitality we are used to. Kitchen is stocked with whatever you need- blender included. Oh, and we can't forget the view. Holy cow. Couldn't beat it. We literally got the the beach within 2 minutes and could open our balcony door and listen to the ocean while we ate. Not a fan of Daytona by any means, but if I have to be there, I'd want to be at Sea Shells. Thank you!!!

It is an older hotel, however, it exceeded our expectations! First of all, the elevator was a big plus as we too are older, and just the convenience was quite nice! The layout of the property was quaint, lots of outdoor space to lounge around the pool and in the grassy area beyond the pool there is a nice accessible grill, picnic tables and more lounge chairs to view the beach! The rooms are quite pleasant, with everything you could possibly need. Stocked with plenty of towels, including towels for the beach. If you need anything more they are quick to help you!! We loved our room and although we were right next to the elevator, we were never disturbed by it!! The staff were extremely pleasant and always very helpful!! We are already planning our next trip and we will definitely be staying here again!!

Very nice people who run this place and who clean it. The only issue we had was how loud it was. We were more towards the street and could hear every car that went by, raced, honked…but for the price of being on the beach side, we’d come back and likely will for next years Daytona 500. Pool was heated to perfection!

The room we were originally placed in was not the room we booked; nothing about the room we got matched any pictures in the listing, so beware, you may face this issue as well. However, we brought this to the attention of the host, and they moved us to a different room very quickly. The original room was run down, dirty, had broken appliances, a stained couch, and dark and dingy lighting. The balcony was a single dilapidated door instead of a sliding or double door as pictured. The host blamed Hotels.com for the non-updated pictures and said they have multiple rooms for the same booking. The room they moved us to was cleaner, brighter, and more modern. The newer room was worth the price, but the original was not. The location is good and far enough from the hustle and bustle but not too far to be a long drive. My only complaint would be that the light outside the bedroom is very bright and makes it seem like it is daytime throughout the night. I would suggest getting better curtains to alleviate this.

Sea Shells Beach Club is a very old hotel that needs a bit of upkeep. That being said, the manager/owner is working daily to do needed updates and maintenance We had a 2 bedroom suite on the 4th floor and found very clean, comfortable rooms. It was a great stay. John and the staff helped every time we needed something. When crowded, parking might be an issue The location, right on the beach was great! We walked the beach daily and experienced some beautiful sunrises over the water!
