    I’d stay there again.

Lovely place a short walk from the market square and excellent restaurants. The breakfast was quite good as well. Only problem is the WiFi was iffy.

Great location and renovated like new

Looked newly renovated Sleek and clean. King size bed. Great location!! Staff was nice but seemed to get irritated about our requests for two items. The first was regarding the in room safe. It was very difficult to work. After three calls to the staff where they also had troubles with the safe I finally gave up. The other issue is that they had no face towels. Only had the bath and hand towels. The shower had no place to put shampoo and soap. So you had to reach around the glass which gets the floor soaked. So overall a decent place - but not a “5” .

Very nice hotel that was clean and pretty however it had two major issues: (1) the room has several mosquitoes, (2) WiFi was spotty throughout the hotel

If you don’t mind the rotten sewage smell, this hotel is fine. The location is fantastic, but our room and many of the facilities emanate a sewage smell that is unacceptable. We related our concern to the staff, to which they just shrugged their shoulders...

I love this property. I missed the parrot that used to be on the front desk when I visited maybe 20 years ago... Other than that it's a perfect location to walk around what is a very walkable and beautiful city.

Friendly service but room fell short

Let me start off by praising the friendly service (especially at breakfast) and the nice common areas - very good first impression. We were disappointed, though, by the condition of our room. We booked a standard room (the one with red carpets in the photos). We knew it wasn’t the best room in the hotel but I did not expect such a difference in room quality within a four-star hotel - seems like there should be a baseline. Our room was more like 2.5 stars. Walls were dingy and beat-up, very poor lighting (and since we were at ground level we had to keep drapes closed), no free outlets unless you unplugged a lamp, and the sink was mounted to the bathroom wall so poorly that we couldn’t put anything on the counter or it would fall into the sink - we had to make a little bed of wet tissues just to keep the soap on the shelf. It was also very noisy as the doors on each room on this floor must be slammed to close fully (earplugs helped). The hotel seems to realize these rooms do not meet expectations, as they have a big ad at the front desk inviting you to inquire about upgrading to a “superior” room. Bait and switch. We were also disappointed that the WiFi was down for 24 hours of our stay. We know that was out of the hotel’s control, but it’s a key amenity (especially as we didn’t have roaming) and the only thing we were offered was a free drink at the bar (which we were not interested in) because - since we had prepaid - there was apparently no other option to rectify this.
