Exceptional 10.0
Excellent stay, Central Location
From the moment we arrived, the staff could not have done more for us. We were staying one night, then going to Macau for 3 nights, before returning for 6 more nights, 3 with our son and his fiance from Australia, who were celebrating their engagement. The hotel kindly allowed us to keep the majority of our luggage at the hotel, whilst we went to Macau. I had booked a Premier room and requested a high floor but the hotel only has Premier rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor. I was disappointed but the Assistant Guest Services Supervisor, Chloce Cheung, showed us Deluxe rooms on the higher floors and happily arranged for us to have two rooms on the top floor, when we returned from Macau. The Deluxe rooms are slightly smaller but I loved the view of the park next door and the water through the high rise buildings nearby. Chloce gave us restaurant recommendations and we went to Chachawan opposite for a great Thai meal. On returning from Macau, Chloce had arranged a surprise "Welcome Back" greeting for us, including a bottle of wine in each room, to help with our family reunion and engagement celebrations. The hotel was all we could have wished for, central to everything in Hong Kong However, the service from the staff has to be the highlight of our stay. They really could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Thank you for making our family reunion such a great success..

Great location but it could be better
I was staying at Traveloge Hollywood Road for about a week and I really liked where it was located. Although I will warn newcomers to Hong Kong that this may be a little difficult to find as it's situated atop a maze of smaller roads. Once you get settled, you'll find that the location is actually pretty great. It's a 5 minute walk to LKF (for you partygoers) and a minute or two away from a bus stop or MTR station to take you wherever you'd like to go. It was something I really appreciated about this hotel, especially since I was out and about most of the time, as you should be when visiting Hong Kong. For its price, you can enjoy a simple breakfast you're able to take with you in the mornings and of course, the cool blast of air-conditioning to relieve you from a day of strolling through the scorching heat and humidity of HK. I got about as much as I would have expected at this price. My only real complaint about the hotel is with its cleanliness. The beds were made, towels replaced daily and on the surface, it appeared that the room had indeed been refreshed. However, dirt was still left on the carpet, in the sink at times, and in the little corners, making it clear that the cleaning staff had not been as meticulous as I would have liked. This is not to say that the room was a complete mess -- far from it, in fact -- I just would have liked a little more attention to detail.

Good price, good location
The hotel is located in a convenient location close to the center of the city, and was a really good price for the area (and Hong Kong in general). The room size was also decent and Expedia gave me a free room upgrade. I would recommend this hotel for those who want a relatively cheap room for their stay here. There were only two issues I could think of during my stay here. 1) I found a random stray hair in the (kind of dirty) hand towels after I first moved in. This may be indicative of the hand towels not being changed frequently or at all. I also did not see any clean hand towels in the maid's cart during the few days I was there, so I might be onto something here. I didn't complain about it because it wasn't that big of a deal to me. 2) The walls and doors are thin and not soundproof. I was almost awaken everything night and morning by closing doors and people just talking in the hallway. I could also clearly hear the guests and television next door. Overall, this is a decent hotel at a good price and in a great location. Just manage your expectations.

Great hotel, except for room 101
I recently booked three rooms for our arrival into Hong Kong, and three rooms for our return after travelling to Macau. Our first experience was perfect. All rooms were exactly as advertised. Small, but very clean and practical. On our second visit one of my party was given room 101. This was a premier room and slightly more expensive than the other two. This room was disgusting. The smell was appalling. The hotel staff tried to mask the smell with a room deodoriser. This made the smell worse. The smell was caused by poor drainage from the pipes in the bathroom and Unfortunately the entire room smelled like suerage. It was absolutely appalling. Travelodge: please for your own sake do not let out this room. Just close it up and don’t rent it out. Other than the horrible smelly room (101) the experience of this hotel was great. Great staff and a great location.

Close location to most of the attraction via MRT
As most HK hotel, need adjustment to the 'constraint' of the space. I travelled with 88 years old mother and 19 year old son, we got 2 rooms and one of the room has NO air conditioning. Their engineer try to turn the unit on and off a couple of times then claimed that air conditioning works and want us be patient and wait. Imagine in a tiny room with temperature over 38 Celsius with little breeze coming out from the unit. We all stayed in the room that air conditioning works for more than half an hour and the room that doesn't work still hot as hell. Finally the front desk changed our room after our strong protest. The Engineer is the most copped out I have ever seen. The shower uses shower curtain which you can see it's mounded and discolored. Kind of disgusting.
