Mediocre Experience
I had selected a room with 2 beds for my son and I. The room was way too small for the beds and there was very little room to squeeze by into the bathroom. We both had problems with the beds themselves as the mattresses are foam only and provide no support. They have a strange sheet metal box support that creaks when you move on the bed. Finally, the shower water was warm at best. This was not the experience we expected as we made our way along Route 66.

Warning about this hotel!!!
We should have walked away as soon as we looked at the worn porch in disrepair with cheap mismatched furniture. But we opened the lobby door anyway and entered a shabby lobby with an unfriendly clerk. Against our intuition, we paid the bill for the night anyway and were given our room key. The room was very dimly lit with a lumpy bed and even lumpier, obviously old pillows. Although not normally bothered by older, inexpensive hotels, we absolutely could not stay there. Upon asking the clerk about a refund, he said that we would need to contact since we booked the stay through this website. An email from informed us that we would need to contact this inn directly. During a subsequent phone call, this clerk vehemently denied telling us anything about seeking a refund. Although we did not actually expect to be reimbursed, we wish to warn others not book a room at this very customer-unfriendly place!!!

Comfy Canyon Country Inn
Check in was quick and pleasant. Room was sweet, large and welcoming; even had teddy bears there! The man who ran the place let us know more than once he was available if we needed anything. Location was perfect; across the street from Police Station, very close to shopping and restaurants, but not close enough to be bothered by the noise. We would stay here again and would recommend. Oh, please do vacuum a bit better, though as we stepped on bobby pins that were obviously left behind. We moved about early in the mornings and did not partake, but the breakfast looked pretty good with many choices.

Left with a smile
Like a stay at grandma's....quaint but with modern amenities such as wifi, cable tv, microwave, coffee maker... everything we needed plus an abundant pleasantly displayed continental breakfast. Conveniently located and within easy walking distance to everything within the charming historic town of Williams.
