Coffee and Power
Very nice old school Santa Barbara. The room needs better bedside access to power outlets- I had to move a dresser. Also the room has no coffee maker, and coffee wasn't available in the lobby until 7:30. I get up at 5. So I had to go out and down the street to get coffee.

GAVE US A CONDEMNED ROOM! Red tagged by city
They tried to make us stay in a CITY CONDEMNED ROOM! It was red tagged as unsafe from the city. When I brought it up to them thinking it was a mistake they said no. The sign said DO NOT OCCUPY from the city since early 2016!

Twice this month
I like my room because it is unique . I like the happy hour snacks. I like the fresh fruit. I like the waffle maker. Breakfast is great. I like that I can relax on my balcony. The place has character .

Do not recommend
Very disappointed. Hotel is dirty and not well maintained. Beware no air conditioning. We stayed the beginning of August, it was brutally hot inside the guest rooms, windows have no screens, painted over light switches, towel bars, tile, door hinges, etc. Hair dryer was not attached to wall, fell off, towel bar was not secure to wall, carpets in public area are filthy. They offer breakfast and coffee, but not until 7:30 in the morning. Went down at 7:30 A.M., the front desk clerk was just starting to set up. 6 guests were standing around for 15 minutes while she tried to throw it together. We left at 9:00 a.m. It was too hot to enjoy the room. Parking is a problem. Plenty of other better options in the area. Too bad, this place could be nice. Photos on the website are very deceptive, pool and surrounding area is tiny.
