Spacious room, hard Chinese style beds, great food
The room was spacious. The breakfast was very good, with the eggs boiled perfectly. The things to be aware of are: the beds are hard, as in Chinese style hard. That's ok for one night for a Caucasian body, but could start to hurt if you stayed for a week; the view out the back of the hotel is a train switching yard, and it is strewn with litter. Parking for the car is free, but they ask you to leave your telephone number in plain view on the dashboard. But the parking is behind a secure gate, which makes leaving the telephone number marginally palatable. Recommend if you can handle hard beds and only need a place to stay.

Good Value
If you're willing to walk about a mile to the bus, then this is the right place to stay. The price is great for Sweden. Some people have stated concern about the fact that it is in and industrial area and they feared walking through the trucking area. This is Sweden... it is safe to walk anywhere. Get an SL ticket before you get to the hotel. From Stockholm, take the Pendeltåg anywhere south and you are two stops from Åsterberg. If you need groceries, from the hotel, walk to the bus... 10 - 15 minutes (Unless you're Swedish or German then 7 minutes) take the bus to the station, take the train one stop toward Stockholm to Sockholm Södra get out of the station and walk straight ahead about 1 minutes. You will find a grocery store on the right. They have a pool table without pool cues and a ping pong table whose net it broken. The internet is terrible 1 mBit if you're lucky. This hotel could invest such a small amount of money to fix the internet and things like the pool table cues and ping pong table. The minumum exceptable internet anywhere these days should be 5 mBit. I will return to the hotel as my 2 kids and I were quite comfortable a room for 3.

The hotel was nice but the location was awful. It was in an industrial estate, we couldn.t sleep at night for the noise vehicles being loaded and leaving. We had to walk through the industrial estate to get to and from the bus stop and one night a rat ran out in front of us. My worst nightmare. I would never go back again. I have been going to Sweden for 20 years to visit family and this was the worst visit ever.
