Old Hotel at Chiang Mai
It is a good old hotel at Chiang Mai, which is not far from the old downtown.

One of the major 4 stars in CM. Located on side street near Night Market and naughty Loi Koh. So everything is handy. The hotel is well-kept, has extensive grounds, several restaurants, one of the better breakfast buffets in Thailand, very well landscaped pool. Staff service is excellent. Decent Wi-Fi throughout property . My room was a deluxe, very well appointed, soundproofed and comfortable with a great view on the 12th floor. I can't think of anything that's wrong with this place.

Location is awesome! Walking distance to both night market and old city. Lots of local food vendors just outside the hotel in either direction. The lobby of the hotel and the grounds are very nice. The rooms could use a refresh, but the size of the rooms are great and the beds are comfortable. WiFi appeared to have a broadband issue. My mother had a fall while we were out touring and ended up fracturing her knee. The staff were amazing. They had a wheelchair onsite, drove us to the hospital at no charge, and offered to pick us up, as well. Since we were suddenly less mobile, we had occasion to eat at the coffee shop, which we never do. (We absolutely love eating local fare at spots that the locals frequent). Anyway, the Thai food we ordered was very good. Didn't order any western food, so can't comment on that.

location n goof breakfast is good but found a few ants and even one cockroach in the bathroom- the front desk staff need to speak better english or just be more flexible with hotel guests needs.
