Exceptional 10.0
Great location
Great location and spacious room (I was in one with private bathroom) - that was all I really needed for my trip. There were no extras in the room (e.g. kettle, clothes hangers), but I got a hair dryer when I asked for one. If you're looking for a basic place to sleep and spend days discovering SF then this is the place.

When you want a place to lay your head
Great basic room. Quiet with a firm, comfortable bed. Friendly staff and a good restaurant right next door.

Very Good 8.0
Solid choice hotel
Super clean, very simple. Entering you meet a bar/restaurant to the left and ahead is a small check in desk. Mostly younger kids (College) working there and they are awesome! Very friendly and helpful. I stayed on the 5th floor in a single queen with private bath. TV was pretty poor, but I wasn't there much to watch it anyway. Bathroom was clean. Had soaps and towels. Bed is comfy. There is a locked safe and hangers in the closet, but no ironing board if you need it. My room was tucked in the back and quiet at night. People mentioned the elevator, its old but very cool. Isn't like it stopped or anything of that nature, works just fine. Area around the hotel does have high percentage of homeless and isn't the cleanest area. But there were always so many people around, I never felt unsafe walking around at night by myself. Very close (about 4min walk) to the Powell BART station which was great. Powell Cable Car is also right there if you plan on using it. About a 45min walk down Market to Haight/Ashbury area. About a 30-40min walk to Fisherman's Wharf (or take the cable car). Irish bar across the street had a good live band one night. Bartlett Brewing Co is attached to hotel. Solid food. Friendly bartenders. Memorizing to watch them make cocktails. They were great. Lots of TVs there as well for any games you want to watch. I would stay here again. If I am not staying here I am for sure coming back to grab a drink and some food.

Good 6.0
Just OK
Best thing about it was the location in San Francisco. Easy to get the transportation and restaurants. The cable TV never work correctly the entire time and no tell made no effort to fix it. the bed was comfortable, the room was small, but there was not even so much as tissues or washcloths. The elevator needs to be remodeled as it is kind of rickety. By San Francisco standards, the price was right

Poor 2.0
Cockroaches (check pic), dirty room, awful service
Worst service I’ve had at a $200/night hotel. Derrick at the front desk didn’t even look up from his phone when talking to me. Also the rooms are incredibly dirty with hair everywhere and there were cockroaches!! I took a picture of one along with the sign of the hotel so you know this isn’t fake. DON’T STAY HERE!!!
