Poor 2.0
Really needs an update and more thorough cleaning. Very very dated. Stains on bedding and towels, marks on walls and there was quite a lot of damage to the doorframe in my room. The walls are paper thin so you hear every word being said in the adjacent rooms and the hallways. The location is great. Very close to the station, grocery stores and port. It’s right at the very edge of the Monaco and Beausoleil border so the neighbourhood doesn’t feel like Monte Carlo, but still a convenient spot. The staff were nice enough and quite reasonable. They refunded me my second night when I decided to check out on the first night, which they technically didn’t have to do, so that was appreciated.

Fair 4.0
Huge disappointment.
Disappoint 1) The first room had a big tub but the drain wouldn’t stay closed in order for my g/f to take a bath (which was something she very much was looking forward to after a long day traveling). Disappointment 2) I decided to take a shower but realized there was no shower but only an attachment to use for rinsing off w/ no curtain. Um ok. I can make due.NOPE the shower head broke off when I turned it on & sprayed water all over the bathroom. I was already soaked and tired so I finished my garden hose shower, wiped up the water, then told the front desk. They were nice enough to move us to a new room, but now only a tiny shower and no tub. If it had only been the shower issue I wouldn’t complain, but aside from the nice ladies at the check in desk the place was horrible. Disappointment 3) The women working the breakfast area looked at us w/ annoyance b/c we showed up 30 min until the end of free breakfast. They wanted to clean up but we wante to eat. Disappointment 4) The on-site restaurant was closed outside of breakfast time which was disappointing because we booked this hotel b/c it offered a restaurant amenity. In the end it felt like we were staying in a low class motel that happens to have an ok view on the roof Terrance. I would never stay here again. For context: I’m an avid international traveler who is always looking for a good deal to work with my budget, but this place was a huge let down and waste of money. I wish I could get a refund.

Excellent value stay near the Monaco border
Very good place to stay as close to the Monaco border as possible without costing a small fortune. The hotel is just a stone's throw from the railway station in Monaco (although you would have to throw the stone very high up in the air...) and it was quite easy to find. The area is very nice for walking, but a bit far to the attractions around the harbour in Monaco. The room was nice and clean with a jacuzzi style bathtub. The breakfast was good with acceptable selection and the view over Monaco from the top floor terrace was awesome. But the most impressive thing about this establishment was the helpfulness of the hotel receptionist, who helped me a lot to point me in correct direction to different places of interest in Monaco.

Exceptional 10.0
For us who are traveling for being outside and experience Monaco, and use the hotel for taking shower and sleep, and like to have free breakfast, this is a the place to be. Not so expensive, got good help to find parking place, cost money till 12:30 Saturday but from 12:30 Saturday till Monday 08;30 it’s free. Also if you have no problem to walk it’s very easy to walk to see the city/country without using a car.

Very Good 8.0
Excellent location, very clean and comfortable.
This was a very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful. The location was excellent, not far from the train station. I have seen some reviews claiming that it is up a hill, albeit, this is true it is an easy walk from the train station etc. This should not put anyone off staying here. Monaco main centre is within easy walking distance (15-20 minutes) from the hotel. Monaco is well worth seeing, albeit, it is quite expensive, as one would expect. The marinas and other sightseeing places are stunning. I would definitely recommend The Hotel Forum to anyone who is planning travelling to Monaco.
