We added very detailed descriptions on every photo in the gallery of this listing. Please take some time to review and familiarize prior to your arrival especially the free parking space located in the back alley.

In addition…

Walk East on Evergreen

Donn Allen’s Crosley Lanes - visit one of Vancouver’s most iconic landmark before it’s forever gone for redevelopment.

D & C Mailboxes and More - walk further east if you need to ship out anything, notary or make copies for work.

Evergreen Wine Cellar - walk further east and you’ll find this cute little cellar with some great local wines and a great local owner. She has a nice cozy place tucked away in the back!

Breakfast at Christine’s - right next to the cellar is a busy spot for a good old American breakfast and brunch place!

Evergreen Mini-Mart - is just across the street from Christine’s if you want to grab something quick and don’t wish to drive anywhere.

Keep walking the same direction and you’ll come across a small plaza to the right with a tanning boutique, Pilates studio, hair salon, massage therapy and a cosmetic/make-up studio.

Finally, walk all the way to the light and busy intersection of Grand Ave and Evergreen Blvd and this intersection features 2 barber shops on each side of Grand Ave, a local coffee roaster Paper Tiger, a teriyaki place about North of the intersection and a florist in the shopping plaza.

Walk West on Evergreen

Officer’s Row/Historic Fort Vancouver - less than a 5-minute walk from your space. Once there be sure to walk real slow to capture the scenic beauty of what is dubbed “Officer’s Row”!

A bit further is an Award Winning 3-Story Vancouver Public Library - about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the house and arrive Downtown Vancouver just over the FWY bridge.

The library has a rooftop to hang out on and on a nice clear day you will see a view of Mt Hood.

Downtown Vancouver - the food scene here is diverse from Sicilian, Laotian, Thai, Pub or American, Brewery, Japanese/Sushi, Mexican, etc!

Vancouver Waterfront Development - a far yet scenic walk that we frequent ourselves during the summer and highly recommend to do at least once! Most likely 1.5 miles each way. You can always catch an Uber on the way back to the house for less than $10. You can get here by foot in many ways. Walking through the Fort Vancouver is what we would recommend the most! You will love and enjoy it!

THE NEIGHBORHOOD CALLED HISTORIC HUDSON’S BAY:

This home is located in the Hudson’s Bay neighborhood. It is characterized by tidy older homes. The early homes of the area are a combination of (late 1800 - early 1900s) two-story frame houses and the bungalow style of the 1930s. This home has a Walk Score of 71/100 where most errands can be accomplished on foot. The home is conveniently located within 1 or 2 miles of everything you ever need.

The restored Officer’s Row residences are on the National Register of Historic Housing. Several other homes in the neighborhood may qualify as historic housing, as well. The remaining stock of single-family residences are modest homes that were built during and after World War II. There are many multi-family uses spread throughout the neighborhood, these apartment buildings, townhouse/condominiums, and accessory dwelling units were primarily built in the period from 1970 to the present. The mix of uses within the neighborhood makes it one of the most diverse in the community. It is the desire of the Neighborhood to embrace this unique character and work to maintain an active neighborhood environment where people live and work.

GETTING AROUND/ TRANSPO:

Aside from the fact that everything is a very short drive from this property, Uber and Lyft is in abundance around here. The bus line is right on Evergreen and that’s a great alternative since it goes in and out of downtown Vancouver too if it’s raining and walking isn’t ideal. You can take a short walk eastbound from the property on Evergreen and there are local shops you can visit such as coffee and quickie mart, etc.
