Stay if you have NO young kids, teens are okay!
The Good: Proximity to attractions, restaurants, and public transportation is great. The hotel is a few blocks from Chinatown, a mile walk to CN Tower/Ripley's Aquarium/Blue Jay's Stadium. Public transportation is super close no matter which direction you decide to go. Plenty of awesome restaurants close by to eat at. Nice playground/park next door for your kids to play at during the day, not so much in the late afternoon/evening hours, that's when all the crackheads come out to lounge around. Luckily our toddler starts his bed time routine at 7pm so we're back at the hotel before the 'walkers/walking dead' decide to roam around and curse out loudly at their imaginary friends. Hotel is pretty quiet at night, no complaint there The Bad: The hotel was in a sorta sketchy area, during the day it was fine, creeping close to evening hours is ehhh. Elevator stopped working 1.5 days into our 7 day stay and keep in mind we were on the 6th (top) floor with a toddler & stroller. We requested our room be freshened up during the middle of our stay and all they did was make our bed, didn't even change our sheets or towels. Towels/sheets had holes in everyone of them, half an onion was in the kitchen drawer, bowls were crusted with food from prior. Hotel room definitely not child friendly, electrical covers were opened, stove circuit breakers should have a lock, loose wiring. When checkin for bed bugs, I swear there was fecal matter on bed skirt. Beds and pillows are super uncomfortable.

Lower end, ok for the price, excellent location.
Old apartments converted into a Hotel. Aging furniture. Broken elevator. No bedbugs, though, clean enough and a great location. Should be called a motel, definitely not a hotel.

Nice and clean but not new.
Good place for a inexpensive stay in Toronto. Second time I have stayed there. Is clean but not updated.

Decent value but poorly run in a sketchy location
The woman at the front desk was rude, so that didn't get us off to a good start. The two worst elements of our stay were the front desk service and the location in a sketchy part of town. It wasn't far from the main action on Queen Street, but the short walk from there left a lot to be desired. The best part of the hotel was the cleanliness. It was pretty clean, and the housekeeper even cleaned dirty dishes we'd left in the sink. The towels were awful though - super thin with holes in many of them. Wifi worked okay, but we had to keep entering the password every few hours it seemed, which was pretty annoying. They only gave us one key, and there was only one elevator. There was only one person there at checkout, and she had to kick us out, lock the office, and go upstairs to check the room - very bizarre and very inefficient. Overall it was a decent room, but the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. Pretty sure we'd pay more next time and stay elsewhere.
