Super-helpful staff and great location
My family of 6 (3 adult couples) stayed 3-nights at the Hosianum Palace after a cruise. Our first impression of the hotel, which set the tone for the entire stay, was of the front-desk staff upon arrival. He could not have been more helpful or friendly. We arrived early and our rooms weren't ready. He, however, locked our bags in the office and drawing some walking directions on a map helped us find all of the major sites we wanted to first visit. He also helped arrange a taxi which could fit us all in to make a tour appointment later in the day, and he gave great dinner suggestions at nearby, locals-preferred restaurants. We received that same level of service throughout our stay. Sure, European hotel rooms are smaller and the beds harder (which you'll experience everywhere) than we might be accustomed to in the US, but the location and experience at this hotel were equal to or better to any of the several other hotels we've stayed in Rome. The rooms and common areas were spotless, the breakfast buffet was good, and the roof top garden bar was a real delight in the evenings for a cool cocktail. WIFI was lightening-fast and worked in the common areas as well as our room. Without question, I'd stay at the hotel on a future trip to Rome.

Uncomfortable old bed
Convenient, helpful staff. Small room but expected. All was ok except the bed which is very important! The mattress had no padding, could feel springs, flat pillows too. They offered too move me last night of 3 that would require me repackaging bags and taking to lobby, I declined since I had tour plans. They should have moved me after first night!

Disappointment with information provided
Disappointment with information provided for this hotel. It was identify thru the hotel(and Hotel.com website hotel description) that there was Wifi available. But the only place you could get it was, at the reception area. Rooms look clean but with unusual color of carpet. Small bathroom. Even thou near Plazza Venecia and several tourist area of interest, nearby neighborhood was strange looking .A/C was only for 24 degrees Celsius in a 32 degree day. Breakfast buffet was good, thou. Receptionist try hard to help but she couldn't offer more than what the Hotel offered. Can not understand current Hotel rate.

No wifi in the room as advertised. Got a small room with a miniscule window. Passed by other open rooms that looked a lot more spacious and of normal standard for this price level.
