Amazing experience & fantastic place to stay!
The check in & check out processes were both quick and easy. Luckily we were able to check in early, which was really nice for us but not always available. The location was just outside of downtown & the main shopping area. Which was nice because you didn't have a lot of city noise and the mountain/bay view were amazing. It;s easy access to main roads, and the tour pickup/dropoffs were so easy. We used Bus Travel Iceland for our tours, and they pulled right up to the hotel so we didn't have to try to navigate city streets or look for certain bus stops. Having free parking was very convenient. Its a quick drive to an inexpensive parking garage in downtown near the main tourist area, marina and museums. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of foods, hot & cold breakfast items, breads/pastries & even an omelet/pancake bar. Don't worry to much about the price as every meal in Iceland will be crazy expensive, but if you're a breakfast eater or want to fill up for a big day you will not find a better deal. Plus they have a nice basic grab and go counter in the lobby if you want something quick to take on the go. The room was very spacious for European standards, and the beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. They have very good heating, and it can get really warm in the room but the windows open to allow in some fresh air or to cool down. Overall, you couldn't find a better deal for the quality of service, amenities and convenience.

Front rooms are too noisy.
Old furniture. Needs renovation and change mattress! Small rooms , doesn’t suit Hilton’s flag !

Exceptional 10.0
Great staff. Very helpful. Location away from most things and a bit far to walk. Can rides are expensive to get to local museums, shopping, restaurants ($30). However, the hotel is very nice and tours pick up at the hotel. I’d stay again.

Great Reykjavik City Hotel
First night in the hotel after landing in Iceland. It was centrally located in the city. Not far from the downtown area. The restaurant on site was very nice. Its a comfortable and very nice hotel. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive.
