Clean, fine, well located.
Don't believe the hype. This hotel is well located and Omonoia is perfectly safe, like any other city. Omonoia is full of great, cheap fast food and near bus stations to Sounion and Delphi, walkable to downtown and everywhere important. Hotel is clean but cold and extremely noisy. You can hear your neighbors talking all night, coughing, their television, even their cell phones. Bring earplugs if you want sleep! No heat in this hotel. Breakfast isn't great but you can make yourself a fine, protein packed meal of black eyed peas, olives, eggs, and hard bread. I strongly suggest you bring your own condiments: ketchup, hot sauce, coffee sweetener. Worst coffee in the world!! Mean old witch at breakfast scolding people, tight packed chairs, noisy tours, no cold water, and freezing breakfast room are all part of the fun. Meats look like pink plastic, I wouldn't go there. But overall this hotel is a great value, and front desk staff was nice and helpful. There are many supermarkets around, a fridge, and kettle in room.

Non smokers and families keep looking pass this by
Hotel is not in a great neighborhood and we felt uncomfortable when we walked to eat or visit sites. The room was very basic clean sheets what I would expect at a nicer Hostel for backpackers. I would not use it for family accommodations. Staff was nice except one smoked at the desk, our room was non smoking but it had an after smoker smell.

Never going back
I got put in the worst room in the hotel. Old TV, others had flat screens, view was facing an abandoned building and the Internet was spotty. Found long black hairs all over the room, and my hare is shirt and brown... Neighborhood was sketchy.
