This property is amazing however, the suite I was in was worn and broken down: the door onto the patio took an act of God to open and close, the AC was LOUD and made irregular clicking and humming noises and the room just felt worn. We got room service. The food was GREAT but no utensils, no napkins, no condiments. When we asked for these things, we were brought condiments. Never did get utensils or napkins. Plus they only brought 2 of 3 items ordered. All in all, especially since the cost was MUCH higher (more than double) than in the past, I’m not sure I’ll stay here again.

I would it “Camping at El Monte Sagrado”

Less than stellar, I know this is still Co-Vid time & because of this notification of what is not open needs to be posted on their website. When we arrived the pool & hot tub closed & on-site restaurant was closed. We could have purchased food b4 our arrival to be able to relax after a long drive at this Resort. Our room was not properly stocked w/ coffee, soap & toiletries. Very disappointing. Grounds beautiful & room clean. We expected a much better experience. Bring ur flash light to b able to use safe. Lighting in room is less than desirable. More like a luxury camping vist w/out the luxury.

  • 4.0.Fair

    Very Disappointing…

95% of amenities stated in the description did not exist. Although I had a confirmed restaurant reservation, when I arrived I was told that the restaurant was not open. Although I was told on the phone that there was room service when I arrived there was no room service. No pool, no spa, no limo service, no valet, no concierge, no bathrobes, no place to buy snacks or drinks, missing bathroom supplies. I was told that it was the poor descriptions of hotels.com, not the hotel. Staff need to be trained to not just say no or they can’t. Also, I got sick of looking at dead animal skins on the walls…gave me nightmares.

  • 8.0.Very Good

Not quite up to past experiences

We have stayed at this property many times. This is the first time that we felt that it is looking a bit worn down. Grout in the bathrooms looking dirty, furniture looking dinged up, etc. Also, the Keurig coffee machine was disgustingly dirty...we did not use it as soon as we lifted the lid and there was grime and dirt in the water receptacle. For the price of this property, we were disappointed for the first time ever...it has been one of our favorite Taos spots for years.

  • 2.0.Poor

Terrible service. Ridiculous for the price

Billed twice for the hotel’s hold fee of $100. Charged an additional “resort fee” for things like bottled water etc (over $50) and a bus (?) we never used or were aware of Charged exorbitant fee for a carafe of bad coffee and two yogurts room service - delivered over an hour late. No cups or glasses in the room. Dirty room service trays left outside in the hall for two days. The room looks nice but is badly designed for comfort. We would never stay at this property again.

We liked the huge bath tub for two. Large room. This time we stayed on lower floor and the noise from the room above was very loud.
