Not as good as before.
This is not my first time staying in this location. the close proximity to kings island is the best feature. I had a room with two double beds. The beds frankly are not comfortable, too hard. Also the chair in the room that goes with the desk is not comfortable either. This was a negative because I was also doing some work from the hotel. Breakfast was ok, typical mid-level hotel stuff, waffle machines, cereal, etc. Wifi was decent for what I needed it for. Didn't use the pool. This place has served it's purpose, but for future KI visits I will look elsewhere.

Just an Ok Stay
It was just ok. Breakfast wasn't much to get excited about, but better than what some will offer. I do have to do it was very clean, front staff were ok - not particularly friendly but not rude. The beds were horrible, and my kids were disappointed the pool was not open at all when online said it was open in May. For the price, it was worth it, may or may not stay again.

Super 8 Super at nothing. Not worth your money.
Very slow check in process, nothing to sign or initial as far as room rate went. Had two rooms. One on one side of the hotel and the other on the other side. You couldn't get any further apart. Front desk clerk was friendly at check in. Check out clerk was meh, at best. Rooms are old, outdated and barely functional. Not the best place in the world to stay and may be close to the worst place I've stayed. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room I was given looked ok but smelled absolutely horrible. The floor was extremely sticky. My flip flop almost stuck to the floor. The outside light was not working and it was dark. I did not feel safe. I tried to stay in the room but could not. I requested a different room. The desk manager even said, "oh my" when he opened my room door to see what I was talking about. He gave me another room. I felt a little better. It was well lit and security cameras were right there at my 2nd room door. It smelled and the floor was sticky, but not like the 1st room. By the next morning, room was smelling worse. My understanding is this Super 8 is an extended stay motel and they allow pets. I even found a dog poo on the floor of the 2nd room. The Mgr. wanted to give me another room. I said no. I was checking out. He tried other options to keep my reservation. I said...NO. I was traveling alone and I did not feel safe. I called hotels.com and requested a refund. Against my better judgement, I said I would pay for the 1night I did stay, but would not pay for the other nights. In the end, my additional nights were refunded and I wound up staying at the Baymont hotel close by. I do not plan to stay at a Super 8 hotel ever again.
