A pretty hotel with a fatal design flaw
A beautiful hotel with some dated design flaws. The room was spacious and had pretty accents. The courtyard had a gorgeous pool and a reasonable amount of seating around it. The breakfast offerings were pretty good, though the layout made it difficult to move around without getting in the way of other guests. I stayed in a twin room with my travel companion and we were both dismayed to see that the shower stall was not enclosed. Instead we had to climb into a tub with high sides and a low shower head and shower that way, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary considering they could just enclose the shower to solve the problem. As a frequent traveler to Hoi An, I will say that the shower issue will keep me from staying in the hotel again.

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Hotel was in a good area about 10 minute walk to the Old Town. The room was large but washroom definitely needed an upgrade, overall was ok and clean. Breakfast buffet was included with booking but not great. Good value hotel.

We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights here. The rooms we were given were noisy as they overlooked the main road and were directly above the hotel driveway. Since this was a Expedia VIP-access hotel, I requested an upgrade for the rooms but was only allowed to upgrade 1 of the 3 rooms as the hotel claimed the other rooms were fully booked (a quick check on Expedia showed that all room types were available for the period of our stay). Regardless, all 3 rooms (including the upgraded room) were dirty, we found cockroaches and spiders in all of them. There were also cobwebs, dirt and mould at the corners of the toilet, in the cupboards and the bed. The bathtubs and sinks also did not drain properly and leaked, leaving the toilet floor very wet. When we confronted the front desk the next morning about these issues and contacted Expedia for assistance, the hotel only offered to upgrade our remaining 2 rooms (despite telling us there were no rooms available for us the previous day). They did not allow us to change our upgraded room even though it also had issues with cleanliness. As these issues are probably present throughout the hotel, we refused and asked to check out with a refund for our remaining 2 nights. Only then did the manager talk to us directly to convince us to stay, but requested for photos of the cockroaches that we claimed we found, saying that she had never had this complaint before and it was unbelievable that all 3 of our rooms had this issue. Would not recommend.
