Lost Iguana Resort and Spa, Arenal
Love the Lost Iguana!!
This hotel was simply amazing. It is tucked in the middle of the rainforest and had all the gorgeousness that that type of environment provides. It is not totally for the faint of heart as there are lots of critters around and we had a frog and many bugs get into our room. However, we were fine with it because that's what you get when you're in the middle of the rainforest. Love this place!

Felt like we were in a Rain Forest
GREAT RESORT! My wife and I like the out of the way places, away from hotel row. A very Nice Spacious, Clean Room with a King Size bed. Only draw back that my wife said was the bed was not good for her back, she has back problems. The View of Arenal Volcano was incredible with it's ever changes clouds passing over her. WE rented a car in San Jose with a Garman (necessary). The different adventures companies will pick you up but we like the freedom. Well worth the money.

Beautiful Lost Iguana Resort
WE love the tranquility of the property. All the staff was so friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed the warm pool, swim up bar and the hospitality of our bartender, Luis. We did the beautiful rainforest hike around the property and the Hanging Bridges tour a 1/2 mike away-everything was just awesome!! We miss it already!

One of the best places in Arenal / La Fortuna!!!!!
let me summarize this for you: - Amazing property - Amazing views - Great Service - One of the best rooms I have stayed in so far! Since I did some last minute booking at La Fortuna (Could not get all 5 nights at Tabacon), I found 2 nights in a suite at Lost Iguana. Driving up to the property, I was a bit stressed as I had no idea what the room would look like and their web-site is not the best in the world. I must say that I was not only pleasantly surprised, I was amazed at the quality, location, cleanliness, and amenities of the room. Coupled with the great service at the hotel, I give the property 5/5 stars! Please see the pictures I have attached. My one and only tiny comment is that compared to the great food in La Fortuna, the resort food is quite expensive and not the best in the area. However, breakfast is free and excellent. To summarize, I HIGHLY recommend a stay at the Lost Iguana Resort & Spa in their luxury suite!!!!!

Amazing, quiet, exotic hotel in a tropical setting
We loved our room, the gardens, the view, the food and the friendliness of the restaurant staff. This is a very beautiful place to stay. It is situated on a steep hill which meant some “hiking” but wasn’t a problem for us. There is also a van or golf cart service available to shuttle which we used once when it was pouring rain. The only two criticisms we had were: there was not enough adequate light for reading in the room (except over the bed - that was good). We asked for a stronger light bulb in the lamp and they did bring another lamp but it was sort of a decorative lamp in some sort of bamboo-type cover and the light was stronger but not enough so. The other was that we felt like the folks at registration are trying to push paid guided tours. That is fine, but we prefer to sightsee independently and we’re more interested in self-guided visits to parks and local points of interest. The printout we received from the desk was pages of mostly rather expensive tours.
