New Hôtel Gare du Nord, Paris

I never stayed here. I tried to reschedule over two months ahead and they wouldn't do it. They just kept my money. This is outrageous. I am also furious with Hotels.com that you did not have the juice to make this right..

The hotel is located across from gare du nord convenient for travel to London on Eurostar. The staff were helpful to us and made room available to us as soon as it was cleaned. The breakfast was very good for the price. Above all nothing to complain about

The hotel is in a good location, right across from the train station. We booked a standard double room with no AC, which I would advise against because if you get hot and have to open a window, it is really noisy. The areas a little rough at night and someone was arrested outside the building one night. The pictures of the hotel rooms on this site are not accurate, as we booked a standard double room and received the room that’s listed as single double room on this site. The shower and toilet were together in one big room. When I told the night shift clerk this and asked to switch rooms, he was defensive and hostile and said he couldn’t help and I’d have to wait three days to speak to the main manager about this. When I asked the main manager on Monday, he said I should have asked earlier on Monday and he couldn’t help. So customer service is not the best. I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you’re just looking for someplace close to the train to crash for a night.

The room in the bathroom were really nice and clean. The location is very much ideal since it’s so close to the train station. The main reason I wanted to write a review is because of the hotel concierge. Unfortunately I was too frantic to get his name. My passport was stolen and my flight was leaving in three hours. It all ended well as my passport was returned to me and I managed to make my flight. But he was so cool and calm throughout everything and even let me keep my bags there as I ran across Paris to retrieve my passport. If I manage to make my way back to Paris, I will definitely hold onto my belongings for dear life and go back to the New Hôtel Gare du Nord. Thank you for everything!

The location was convenient. We were satisfied with everything at the hotel, with one exception. We could not open the windows. I think they expect everyone to use the air conditioning, but no matter how hot it is, we like to open the windows.
