This charming place feels like quintessential Boulder. Given the price for the Boulder area, I was expecting far less. It’s an incredible value but honestly now that we’ve found it, it’ll be where we stay when we visit Boulder regardless of that value bc it’s so unique to the area. Sometimes it’s nice staying in the chain hotels that are the same everywhere bc you know what you’re getting and staying at a locally owned place can be a risk. I rolled the dice on this place bc I figured, at the affordable price, even if it was a dump, it would be a win bc it was in the mountains.
The drive out was idyllic as it was snowing and the mountains were covered. I was nervous about driving into parking lot bc the roads were slick after 2 days of snow but the staff had done a great job of icing and shoveling. The staff was friendly & accommodating, esp Austin. Alcohol’s served in the cozy lounge, which was utilized by the guests.Made it easy to talk w other travelers about the area.
The layout of the rooms is reminiscent of a 50s motel but nicely updated. A stocked kitchenette, frig & dishes are in the room for guests 2 prep their own meals. The beds are GREAT. Made for a nice sleep. Room was A+ clean. Great H2O pressure in the showers. Don’t hesitate to book here. You’ll have a great stay!
