Nothing special
While I can complement the kitchen team for decently cooked food and mostly helpful reception girls, I cannot recommend the hotel - I was charged full price for one day when I had no hot water - the hotel insisted I did - but I certainly did not (I should know, I stayed in the same room for over a week). I was also overcharged for laundry and I noticed that cleaning was not to a high standard. The hotel is also in a dingy location next to a lunatic asylum.

Great value
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. The room was clean and quiet, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Although the hotel is located in a slightly secluded area, it is very close to some of the major tourist attractions like the Mariinsky Theater and St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral. I personally liked the calm and peaceful environment.
