Hotel near university campus
The hotel is fine, but the environment don't look safe and the narrow (9:00-11:30) window for room cleaning is not convenient, when you are on vacations.

Saically, the hotel was fine in every way, except the restaurant could serve only the cold (buffet) entry and the (buffet) dessert. No hot meal ,for which we had been anticipating after our long journey that day. We never did discover why there was no hot main course that evening.

Fair quality hotel, clean, just off the highway if you need to catch some sleep. Staff was able to speak English. Outside gate closes at 11pm, so arrive before then to save a headache. Not much else around this neighborhood.

Practical Overnight Stop
Stayed here whist travelling around Europe, ideal overnight stop. Clean and comfortable for the money. The staff were very helpful and the food was reasonable as well. The car park and hotel were with a large fenced area and locked at night which was reassuring.

Awful
We were driving to Grenoble from Marseilles and got to the hotel late. We noticed that gates are locked so tried calling on the number provided but got no response after listening to their blurb for couple of minutes every time. I had never stayed here before and dont think would be booking a room in any Campanile any time soon. We were probably at fault too as it said on the booking that we would need to inform them if we were going to be late but unfortunately didn't read that until reaching to the hotel. I understand that it is a budget hotel but I am sure it wont cost them a lot to call an expecting guest just to find out why they have not checked in or if they are still on their way. We had to pay unnecessary extortionate sum for an overnight stay in a hotel nearby. Highly disappointed and would wholeheartedly recommend anyone going there to inform them if you are going to be late.

convenient location, a pleasent surprise!
was concerned about booking having not known anything about the chain and the deal I found being so good, but upon arrival, the staf were helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the housekeeping staff cleaned and made beds everyday, along with constantly giving us top ups on tea and coffee! very pleasent experience and ould definitely stay there next time we are in France! (Only negative is the fact there wasnt a single english tv channel....but i guess we were in France!!)

Lovely bed
we only had one night at this hotel while passing through. The room was warm and the bed was really comfortable. We did not however think much of the area the hotel was situated, seemed very run down . Staff very pleasant and helpful.
