    On the Fence

    I'm on the fence about how to rate this resort overall, because there were some great things and some not so great things. Your experience will completely be driven by your expectations and what you wish to do in Cabo. I'll start with the great: The pool area is fantastic. It never felt overly crowded and, aside from the most coveted of chairs, there was never an issue finding a lounge chair at any time of the day. Everything you'd need on a typical pool day is fairly accessible. There was also almost never an issue getting drinks. Lines were short if you walk up to a bar and if you sit in a central area, servers will come by regularly to take drink orders. The not so great: Off resort transportation is inconvenient. Uber is ideal as it's cheaper by about half. The catch, Uber isn't allowed on the resort, you have to walk about a 1/4 mile to the dusty road just outside the gate. They clearly have an agreement with the taxis that they call for you at the lobby (resort staff took $$ from the taxi). Coming back with an Uber can be better, but sometimes they aren't allowed in and you again have to walk. The walls are paper thin and even people talking in the hall can clearly be heard. The resort asks people not to be loud in the hall past 10pm, but of course no one respects it. Maintenance and cleaning also run their carts down the hall and it sounds like a roller coaster. Again, your experience may vary, especially if you have no intention of leaving the resort.

    Saving the chairs with towels is a very big problem. You can show up in the am, and most chairs have towels on them and they aren’t being used. People try to hold chairs for many hours with a folded towel.
